THE STORY

Pete and I go way back, which made planning his 50th one of the most fun projects we have ever taken on. From the very first conversation the vision was clear: gather every single person he loves in one place, remove all limitations, and throw an absolute rager.

No fuss, no formality. Just a backyard full of the right people, great food, flowing drinks, and music loud enough to shake the neighborhood. They wanted it to feel old school in the best possible way, a callback to the era Pete and his crew grew up in and the kind of night nobody forgets.

Pete gave the most heartfelt, sentimental speech of the evening and then the party raged until the very end. Food trucks, a live band that rocked all night, an ice cream truck straight out of childhood, an ice luge nobody saw coming, and roaming shots that kept the energy exactly where it needed to be. Epic is not an overstatement. People are still talking about it

THE VISION

The brief was simple: bring it back. Pete grew up in the 80s and 90s and wanted his 50th to feel like those decades never left. Less about décor, more about experience. Less about centerpieces, more about the people in the room and the memories being made in real time.

Journey is Pete's band, so we made sure they were felt throughout the night. His wife Lauren wanted the invitation to feature a photo of Pete mid-air guitar, and that set the tone for everything that followed. Food trucks replaced a traditional dinner. A live band replaced a DJ. we brought in An ice cream truck from the old neighborhood and topped things off with an incredible dessert table. And when we slid in an ice luge and roaming shots, the night officially reached another level.

This was never about the flowers. It was about the feeling. And the feeling was absolutely everything.
