Vicky’s 50th Surprise Party

THE STORY

Ed called us four weeks before Vicky's 50th with a mission: surprise his wife, wow every guest in the room, and create a night that people would still be talking about long after it ended. We were in immediately.

The pace was unlike anything we had experienced. Custom invitations out in 48 hours. RSVPs locked in 72. Ed made decisions faster than any client we have ever worked with and the trust he placed in our vision made everything possible. When a client lets you run with it, the result is always something special.

RP Prime was the perfect canvas. We designed around the venue's classic black and white bones, softened everything with pink and purple accents, and filled every inch of the space with elevated personal details. A B&W dance floor, photo seating charts, photo table numbers, and black and white photo runners that took the room back through 50 years of Vicky's life. A live painter captured the evening as it unfolded. Interactive costume greeters and dancers turned heads the moment guests walked in. And a traveling cannoli guy made sure the night was as fun as it was beautiful.

Vicky was completely shocked. The look on her face when she entered the room made every intense, fast paced moment of those four weeks entirely worth it. The vision in our head unfolded perfectly. It was a very very good night.

THE VISION

The venue gave us the bones and Ed gave us the freedom. Our job was to take RP Prime's classic black and white elegance and make it feel warm, personal, and unmistakably Vicky.

Her favorite colors were the starting point. Pink and purple softened the space and gave it a femininity that felt completely her. But the real heart of the design was the personal details. Ed shared their family album and we ran with it, weaving 50 years of memories into every corner of the room through custom photo elements that made guests stop and smile at every turn.

The experiences were just as intentional as the decor. A live painter, interactive dancers, a cannoli cart, a classic B&W dance floor, and design details that made the room feel curated from floor to ceiling. Classy and girly in equal measure. Exactly as it should be.
